Go Organics Sheep Manure
Medium strength, whole garden.
Go Organics compost their sheep manure at Boonanarring, about 110km north of Perth, and screen it before it goes into the 30 litre bag. The pack calls it nature's slow release organic fertiliser, good for all plants and long lasting — a medium-strength all-purpose feed for shrubs, trees, lawns, vegetables, fruit and flowers.

Real stock, not a swatch. Blended products vary a little batch to batch, so treat these as a guide rather than an exact colour match.

What Go Organics Sheep Manure suits
What can you use Go Organics Sheep Manure for?
Shrubs and trees
Spread out to the drip line and watered in. Listed first on the pack's own list of what it suits.
Lawns
Topdressed thin and watered in. Screened material matters here — anything lumpy sits on the surface and shows.
Vegetables and fruit trees
Medium strength is the useful part: enough to feed a hungry bed, mild enough that you are not measuring carefully around young plants.
Flower gardens
A general feed through a bed of mixed plantings, where a stronger blend would need to be kept away from half of them.
How many bags?
Thirty litres, about 1.2 square metres
Manure goes on thin — about 25mm worked into the surface — so a 30 litre bag covers roughly 1.2 square metres of bed. That is less than most people expect and it is worth measuring before you come in.
The pack does not print an application rate, so this is simply the arithmetic of the volume at that depth rather than a manufacturer figure.
| Job | Bags | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| One raised planter, 1m x 1m | 1 bag | Spread 25mm and worked into the top. |
| A veggie bed, 2m x 1m | 2 bags | The most common order. Buy the second even if the sum says 1.7. |
| A whole garden | Ask about bulk | Past about eight bags, buying by volume costs a lot less. |
This product contains micro-organisms. Wear gloves, wear a mask if it is dusty, keep it moist while you handle it and wash your hands afterwards.
Why Go Organics Sheep Manure
Why choose Go Organics Sheep Manure?
A known volume, every time
30 litres in the bag, so you can work out what a bed needs before you leave the house rather than guessing at the counter.
Composted and screened
Consistent, even material with nothing to break up by hand. It spreads cleanly, which matters most on a lawn.
Medium strength, so it goes everywhere
Usable across the whole garden rather than on a short list of plants. One bag answers most of what a garden is asking for.
It feeds the biology, not just the season
Earthworms and soil microbes work on it, and their activity builds carbon and aeration into sand. That is the change that lasts.

Using Go Organics Sheep Manure
How to use Go Organics Sheep Manure
Work out the bags first
Thirty litres spread at 25mm covers about 1.2 square metres. Measure the bed, divide, and buy one more than the sum says.
Spread evenly and water it in
Working it lightly into the top of the soil gets it to the roots faster than leaving it on the surface, and stops it blowing about on a windy day.
On lawn, go thinner
A lawn topdressing wants a scattering rather than a layer — enough to disappear between the blades once you water it, not enough to smother them.
Handle it damp
It contains micro-organisms. Wear a mask if it is dusty, wear gloves, keep it moist while you are handling it and wash your hands afterwards.
When to choose something else
When it is the wrong product
- Go Organics do not publish an NPK analysis for this one, so we will not quote you one. If you want a fertiliser with a stated analysis on the bag, tell us what you are feeding and we will point you at the right one.
- It is a feed, not a soil. It goes on or through a bed; it does not fill one.
- Thirty litres does not go far — about 1.2 square metres at the right depth. For a whole garden it is worth pricing the yard's sheep manure by volume instead.
- This product contains micro-organisms. Gloves, a mask if it is dusty, keep it moist while handling, and wash your hands afterwards.
