Who you will meet

The crew in the yard

Most of our team have been loading and advising on this stuff for years. Describe your job at the counter and you will get a straight answer, not an upsell.

Ask for them by name

The people behind the counter

Whoever is on the loader knows what is in every bay, because somebody here chose it. Tell them what you are planting, or what the area gets used for, and they will point you at the right pile. If we do not stock what you are after, we will tell you who does.

About the yard

A working yard, seven days

This is a yard rather than a showroom. The soils, mulches, sands and stone sit in open bays where you can see the pile, put your hands in it and compare two of them side by side before you commit to a metre of either.

The loader does the heavy part. Back the trailer in, tell whoever is on it what you are after and how much, and it goes in from the bucket — a scoop, half a metre, or as much as your springs will take. Everything is sold by volume, so you are not guessing at how many bags make a garden bed.

Come down with the boot open, hook up one of our trailers for two hours, or have it tipped at your place. Either way somebody here will load it and tell you how much you actually need, which is often less than you came in expecting to buy.
