Garden Fertiliser Perth
Feed the lawn, feed the veggie bed.
Lawn food, a granular weed and feed, a tomato and vegetable fertiliser, and a mineralised compost that does both jobs at once. These are the two things people come in for most — a lawn that has gone tired over summer, and a veggie bed that has stopped producing.
If you are feeding natives, proteas, roses or citrus, those want something targeted and they are on the plant food page instead. Everything here is bagged and ready to spread.

How much fertiliser do you need?
What a bag actually feeds
Fertiliser is the one thing on this site where too much is worse than too little. Every rate below is the manufacturer's own, and none of them are generous by accident.
Measure the lawn or the bed before you buy. A 10kg bag sounds like a lot until you find out it is one pass of an average front lawn.
| Product | Bag | What it feeds |
|---|---|---|
| Lawn Food | 10kg | 400m². All grass types, buffalo and kikuyu included. |
| Lawn Feed as you Weed | 10kg | 150m², at 1kg per 15m², monthly. |
| Plus Tomato & Vegetable Fertiliser | 2.5kg | Between 50 and 125m² of bed, at 20–50g/m². |
| Soil Solver Compost Plus Minerals | Bagged | About one bag to 10m² of lawn, or 2–5 litres per m² dug into a bed. |
Keep the Lawn Feed as you Weed granules off concrete, paving, brick and the driveway. The iron in it stains hard surfaces permanently, and that is the complaint we hear most about it.
How to choose a fertiliser
Four things that actually decide it
Lawn or garden bed
A lawn food is formulated for grass and a vegetable fertiliser is formulated for crops, and swapping them wastes the product. The one crossover is the Compost Plus Minerals, which Soil Solver rate for both at much the same rate.
Whether there are weeds in it
A straight lawn food will green the grass and do nothing at all about the weeds growing in it. If clover and flat weeds are the actual complaint, the weed and feed does both jobs in a single pass.
Buffalo, and what stains
The granular Lawn Feed as you Weed is buffalo safe — Richgro confirm it. But the iron in it permanently stains concrete, paving, brick and driveways, so it is the wrong product for a lawn that runs hard up against exposed paving.
Spread it thin and even
Every fertiliser here has a rate on the bag and going heavier gains you nothing. Too much in one spot burns the grass rather than feeding it, so spread thinly and evenly and water in afterwards.

Side by side, and why you would pick each
| Product | Best for | Main characteristic | Choose this when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green Up Lawn Food | Greening an established lawn | 10kg pack, feeds 400 square metres | The lawn is thin or pale but the weeds are not the problem you are trying to solve. |
| Lawn Feed as you Weed | Weeds and feed in one pass | NPK 5:0:0 with 50g/kg iron, 150 square metres | Clover, dandelions or flat weeds have taken over, and you can keep every granule off the concrete. |
| Plus Tomato & Vegetable Fertiliser | The vegetable bed | NPK 11:1:7, trace elements, soil wetter | You are feeding tomatoes, herbs, brassicas or salad greens through the growing season. |
| Soil Solver Compost Plus Minerals | Feeding and improving together | Low-phosphate compost with clay, silt and rock minerals | The soil is as much the problem as the feed, and you would rather fix both in one application. |
