Eco Rock
Recycled brick and tile, washed and ready.
Eco Rock is a screened, recycled mix of crushed brick and tile, cleaned and repurposed for landscaping. Its rough texture and cream tone make it a practical decorative fill for driveways, paths and garden beds, and it diverts construction waste rather than adding to it.

Real stock, not a swatch. Blended products vary a little batch to batch, so treat these as a guide rather than an exact colour match.

What Eco Rock suits
What can you use Eco Rock for?
Driveways and hardstand
Rough crushed faces lock together under load. With a compacted base under it, this is a practical driveway surface.
Paths
It beds down and stays. Not the smoothest thing underfoot, which is the trade for it staying put.
Decorative fill
Areas that need covering and levelling rather than showcasing — the practical half of a landscaping job.
Sustainability-led projects
Where recycled content is part of the brief, this answers it while doing real work.
How much Eco Rock
How much Eco Rock do you need?
Length by width by depth, all in metres, gives you cubic metres. For a bed 4m by 1.2m filled to 75mm, that is 4 × 1.2 × 0.075 = 0.36 m³.
It is an estimate. Uneven ground and how firmly the mix settles both change what you actually use, so round up rather than down. We have not published a recommended depth for this product — describe the bed at the counter and someone who works with it every day will tell you.
Whatever you work out here lands in the enquiry form below, already written down.
That is about one trailer load. Order a touch over rather than under — a second trip costs more than the extra scoop.
Why Eco Rock
Why choose Eco Rock?
100% recycled
Crushed brick and tile diverted from construction waste. Nothing was quarried, and the waste went somewhere useful instead of into a hole.
Washed, not just crushed
The washing takes the dust and debris out. That is the difference between a decorative product and a load of rubble.
The rough texture is the point
Angular faces lock together under compaction, which is what makes it work as fill and hardstand rather than only as decoration.
Low maintenance and durable
Fired clay does not break down. Once it is placed and compacted it stays.
Getting Eco Rock home
How to get Eco Rock
Collect from the yard
Open seven days at 222 Barrington St, Bibra Lake. The loader puts it straight into your trailer or ute, and someone will tell you whether what you have brought will carry the load.
Borrow one of our trailers free for two hours to get your load home. No charge, no bond.
Have it delivered
Across Perth's southern suburbs, seven days. For a quote we need the address, how much you need, and anything awkward about access — tight driveways, low branches and side access all change which truck we send. Confirm the current cost when you order.
Formats
- Loose, by the cubic metre
- Bulka bag, roughly a cubic metre each
- Trailer load, including our free two hour trailer
Using Eco Rock
How to use Eco Rock
Work out the volume
Length by width by depth in metres gives cubic metres. A driveway wants more depth than a bed, and a compacted base underneath it.
Put a base under anything carrying a vehicle
Decorative fill straight onto sand will rut. Road base or crushed limestone compacted first is what makes it hold.
Spread, level and compact
Rough faces lock together when compacted, which is where this material earns its keep. Compact it rather than just raking it out.
Expect batch variation
It is recycled. The colour and the mix vary, so if you are matching existing work, bring a handful in rather than ordering blind.
When to choose something else
When it is the wrong product
- The colour varies between batches. The description we inherited calls it both bold and cream, which is what happens with a recycled input, and we would rather say so than pick the flattering one.
- The texture is rough. That is what makes it work as fill and it is what makes it less pleasant underfoot than a smooth decorative stone.
- It is not a bare-feet or play area material. Crushed brick has sharp edges — white washed sand is the product for a sandpit.
- On a driveway it still needs a compacted base underneath. No decorative fill takes a vehicle straight off sand.
